My approach to art is through the spiritual narratives of the Baroque movement. I love baroque stories and combine them with modern artistic developments of the 20th century - especially the abstract movement. For me it is not representative of modern culture to paint very realistically like the baroque painters because we have evolved culturally. For example, a modern musician would likely not compose Beethoven's 9th symphony. I don't want to break up the painting with too many details, therefore I create unclear shapes and suggestions allowing the viewer to have their own experience or a variety of interpretations. I call the details "too much talking". I prefer allowing each viewer their own subjective immersion. I am also a fan of "Imperfectionism" or the idea that the art is what is important, not the materials that go into it.
