Janet has a passion for telling a story through her art by using paint, wax, paper, crayons and stamps. These materials contribute to the uniqueness of her art, making it compelling for the viewer. Vibrant color is a recognizable feature garnered from her travels to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and her life in Africa. Janet was born in Sheffield, England where she worked as a research scientist and then married and raised a family. She lived in Africa for three years before eventually emigrating to the United States. Here, in the U.S., she was able to take up her long-lost passion for art. After attending different media workshops in the U.S., Italy, and San Miguel de Allende, she chose mixed media and collage as the best way to express herself. Janet’s work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museum shows. She has also won top awards in juried shows and was selected by the prestigious National Collage Society for their 2019 and 2020 calendar publications.
