Wandering through the ancient and eroded Ozark Mountains a small backroad runs just north of Hot Springs, Arkansas. There, blending in with the heavily wooded area, a small sign marks one of the most unique and beautiful geologic wonders of the United States. Early in the morning, nomadic photographer Jakob Chester found himself enraptured as a column of light and water poured in through a hole in the rock, highlighting the purples, greens, and oranges that make the Ozarks so enchanting. Capturing the moment in order to create this ethereal and otherworldly piece, he sat inspired and in awe at the power of water and time.
