Darrel McPherson

McPherson has painted constantly from 1970 to the present. His background in art started at Indiana University and his work later transformed in Memphis. He moved from abstract  to  Impressionism during 1988 from viewing of a small paint sketch by Pissarro.  “When I saw for the first time the power of feeling of an afternoon in the French countryside so long ago, I realized the spirit of a work can be more than the image.” His last breakthrough occurred  in 2006 that  transformed his art, leading to his present work.

I’m just an artist that likes to paint. I also love music on a spring day. With all the strife going on in our world, it’s nice to find beauty. I seek this beauty and wonder in my art. Within this beauty of our world at the very core of reality is vibration. This vibration makes our world, our existence. We are made of music.”
