Esaú Andrade

Among the most prominent of Mexican fine art contemporary surrealists, Esaú Andrade works with a variety of traditions illustrated into intensely colored paintings that are a vibrant reflection of the artist’s soul and culture. Born in 1963 in Tepic Nayarit, Mexico, Andrade comes from an artistic family background that inspired him to pursue a life as a visual artist.

Andrade attended La Escuela de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Guadalajara. His originality caught the attention of reputed galleries in the United States where the personality of his paintings enjoyed wide admiration and excellent reviews. Strongly influenced by two of the giants of Mexican fine art, Diego Rivera and Rufino Tamayo, Andrade nevertheless developed his own creativity and soul in his symbolic paintings reflecting childhood, his dreams, and the cheerful universe that characterizes Mexican culture.
