Artists must meet and accept the requirements below as outlined by Art Scene West. 

ARTWORK SUBMISSION IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

Artists are encouraged to send images that will best represent the quality of their artwork to both the Art Scene West curators and art collectors. The images submitted for review will be the same used on the Art Scene West website if selected. 

  • Maximum 4 images of the artwork(s).

  • Only clear and accurate images of an artwork will be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

All sculptures must be an original creation of the participating artist and must be available for sale. 

RULES AND TERMS TO APPLY

Each artist submitting an artwork to be considered is in compliance with and agrees to all of the following terms of this Agreement:

  • The sculpture submitted by the artist is an original creation of the submitting artist.

  • An artist’s submission shall consist of up to four (4) high-resolution digital photographs. Filters, enhancements, manipulations, distortions, and all other kinds of altering are un-acceptable. 

  • The artist is at least 18 years of age and has the authority, without breaching any other agreement made by the artist, to make the submission.

  • All artwork submitted and selected shall be offered for sale throughout the exhibition, both at our gallery at 803 W Harbor drive, San Diego CA 92101, and at www.artscenewest.com

  • Artist grants Art Scene West a 40% sales commission on the artist’s artwork(s) selected for entry in the show and sold at any time during the show.

  • Artist agrees that the digital photographs submitted by the artist of the artwork(s) that are selected into the exhibition will be used/published by Art Scene West for purposes of gallery promotion and offering such artworks for sale at Art Scene West’s online and physical gallery.

  • If any of the artist's artwork(s) are selected, the artist agrees that Art Scene West may publicize the digital photos of such artwork(s) and the artist’s name and bio online, on social media, at its website, and in print media promotions during the exhibition and beyond. 

  • All fees paid by artist(s) are non-refundable.

  • Artist(s) retains all copyright ownership of their artwork.

  • Unless there is a sale of the artwork by Art Scene West during the exhibition, artists shall remain the sole owner of their artwork(s).

  • If artist’s artwork(s) are selected for entry, the artist will be required to accept the terms of a separate agreement specifying Exhibition Terms, details for delivery of the artwork, and make payment of the participation fee ($100) through a secure portal at www.artscenewest.com.

  • Upon being notified of the selection of the artist's artwork, the artist shall have until January 24th to pay the participation fee online and verify their acceptance of the Exhibition Terms or be ineligible.

  • Communications by the artist regarding the exhibition shall be made via email addressed to: info@artscenewest.com.

  • Sculptures must be ready to stand on their own within the dimensions outlined above. 

  • The artist agrees to pay shipping and handling fees associated with delivery of their artwork to Art Scene West, including return shipping back to their residence if the work remains unsold. 

  • Artist agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Art Scene West Gallery from any claim or demand, including attorney’s fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

ABOUT THE CALL

Art Scene West is calling all 3D artists for a unique opportunity to have their small sculptures displayed inside our seaside gallery. This is an open call opportunity for artists worldwide to submit images of their standing art for us to review and select for their place in our gallery-exhibition and exposure to our diverse audience. 20 selected pieces will be on display for over a month and added to our gallery’s pristine collection of masterful paintings and photographs.  

DETAILS

  • Sculptures must not be larger than 16” high x 8” wide x 8” deep, and must not exceed 35 lbs in weight. 

  • Sculptures must stand alone on a flat surface.

  • Art Scene West will remit 60% of the sales commission to the artist and withhold 40% for gallery expenses. 

  • Images of sculptures will be uploaded and for sale on our website during the exhibition. 

  • The Exhibition is live February 9th - March 19th, 2025.

GALLERY LOCATION: 

Art Scene West, 803 W Harbor Drive, suite E1-E, San Diego 92101 (Lighthouse District).

FEES:

There is a $35 submission fee to thoroughly review the artist's work and biography. For artists who are selected into the 3D exhibition, the participation fee is $75. This helps cover the costs of handling and curating the artwork inside the gallery and uploading the artists’ content onto our website and Social Media channels. Artists are responsible for shipping and return-shipping fees both to and from the gallery. 

TIMELINE:

  • Submission deadline: January 19th, 2025.

  • Artists will be notified of their selection by January 21st.

  • Last Day for Artists to pay the Participation Fee is January 24th. 

  • Artwork delivery deadline is February 7th.

  • Opening Reception at the gallery is on Saturday, February 15th, 2025.

  • Unsold artwork will be shipped back to artists beginning on March 24th.
