Jen Goldman, a native of Los Angeles, California, stands as a beacon of creativity and passion in the realm of wildlife artistry. With a unique fusion of photography and oil on canvas, she masterfully translates her global wildlife encounters into vivid, emotive artworks. Initially entrenched in a conventional career path, Jen recognized a void in her professional fulfillment. Earning dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Michigan and achieving 24 years of experience in the health, wellness, and legal fields, she embarked on a soul-searching expedition in 2014. Studying photography and graphic design at Santa Monica College and ArtCenter College of Design while maintaining her full-time job, Jen delved into a world of visual storytelling. Her weekends became dedicated to honing her painting skills under the tutelage of local artist Susan Manders. This period of exploration and growth now spanning a decade, laid the foundation for her artistic evolution. Despite her demanding role as a Program Director at a law firm, Jen's passion for wildlife remained unwavering. Her success in her career allowed her to pursue this passion and embark on wildlife adventures worldwide. It was during her inaugural safari experience in South Africa that a profound connection with wildlife ignited within her, shaping the trajectory of her artistic journey. Upon returning from safari, Jen skillfully merges her photography and painting talents to craft vibrant, imaginative interpretations of her encounters. Each image and painting serves as a testament to her deep reverence for the natural world. Preferring to work outdoors, she utilizes palette knives and unconventional colors to create textured pieces that pulsate with life, igniting curiosity and adoration for wildlife. But Jen's artistry extends beyond mere replication; it transcends into the realm of emotion and spirit. Through the lens of her camera, she encapsulates moments of raw beauty that resonate with the very essence of existence. Her oils on canvas transcend the physical, inviting viewers on a journey of self-discovery and exploration.
