Wilt is an emerging artist with a focus on digital photography and photographic collage-based practices. She constructs other-worldly environments, borrowing visual and structural elements from neuronal, sub-cellular, internal and aquatic anatomy. She has exhibited at the Kahler Gallery and The Gund gallery in Gambier, Ohio. A Seattle native, her work is included in private collections nationally.

I construct other-worldly environments using photography and digital collage. I borrow visual and structural elements from neuronal, sub-cellular and aquatic anatomy to address the peculiarity of functional mechanisms that operate in conditions of gravity, viscosity and scale unfamiliar to unitary human bodies. From my studies in neuroscience, I often borrow concepts from neuroscience and biology, infusing ideas of interconnectivity and plasticity I employ refraction using translucent glass and plastic to distort perception of objects and communicate the dramatic ways visual information is obscured when light detours across densities greater than air. To achieve this, I arrange and photograph recycled and miscellaneous objects, melted glass, and colored hot glue. I transfer pieces of these photographs to digital collage to build chaotic systems where elements are both liberated from gravity and left to compete for space in the visual field.
