Angelica Juarez is a surrealist/expressionist painting artist, known for her art compositions to be personal and emotional. She was born in Mount Vernon WA and at age of three her mom decided to move back to Mexico where she grew up with all the traditions, rich history, and folklore of her mother’s homeland. She started painting at the age of nine. At the age of fifteen Angelica and her mother moved back to the US. She was living in Phoenix AZ, where she organized art exhibitions in different venues. She moved to Seattle WA in 2011. Angelica says that her artwork is not just a piece of art, it is a piece of her life from an outside view.
I have always enjoyed painting; it is a way to escape from reality and find myself in a happy and safe place in my mind. There I can express my experiences, my feelings, and dreams. I really enjoy seeing people have this special connection with my paintings, I really like to listen to the interpretation that each one gives to each painting. It is incredible to see how everyone's way of life and emotions at that moment in time give a different meaning to them. My quest is to keep inviting inspiration and beauty into my life and sharing it through my paintings hoping to inspire new generations and see beautiful new art be born.
