About Ler
I have many years of experience in drawing and painting as well as working in the video game and animation industry, with skills of multiple media of both 2D and 3D, traditional and digital. Due to my background, I see a bigger picture of the visual art world with various media, platforms, and styles.
As an immigrant from China, I experienced different cultures, educational environments, and multiple industries which contribute to my visual and conceptual vocabulary. My enduring focus is on common issues of humans, nature, and society. I find both inspiration and disappointment in humans’ behaviors, as well as the hope, doubt, and fear of the future. I create surreal scenes in a representational manner, telling stories with figures as the major subjects with vivid movement and the beauty of anatomy.
My goal is to influence people’s minds with illusions and spectacles. Art is my tool and weapon to change the world.
