Artist Biography:
Donald Kratt is an adjunct instructor in film photography at Crealdé Art School, in Winter Park, Florida, primarily teaching youth and teen film photography and darkroom processes. Donald mostly works in black and white film, from 35mm up to 4"x5" sheet film, experimenting with various alternate processes and chemistry, infrared film, solarization and custom chemical processes. Donald has had works displayed in 30+ US galleries and exhibits.
Artist Statement:
I am drawn to film photography that fits somewhere between the abstract and representational. While I have done work and exhibited in digital photography, I find the craft of hands-on chemical and mechanical manipulation more fulfilling.
